Walking Vacations

Just enough activity to appreciate supper and sleep well, but not enough to regret it the next day!

Walking and Wandering Newfoundland Tour

A combination of seaside hikes and fjord vistas, with side wanderings across the Earth’s mantle and through colourful outports. The great news? You can get right up next to the icebergs and whales while walking amid the most breathtaking scenery we offer access to!

2020 Guided: July 30 - August 6

Eastern Newfoundland Iconic Walks

The Skerwink Trail is rated as one of Canada’s best hikes and we will not argue with that! While walking the loop, keep an eye out for gannets diving in great numbers, usually it means whales in that area are likely going after the same schools of fish.  There are seastacks, arches and caves and one special seastack, called the music box, because of the sound the wind makes around it.

Western Newfoundland Iconic Walks

Over the past few years, we have developed an amazing walking route along the northern tip of Newfoundland. This “Iceberg Trail” takes us to the best viewpoints, through abandoned outports, into thriving fishing villages where you can chat with the locals on the wharf and enjoy a tasty reward.

Newfoundland’s Walking Jewels

Explore the highlights of the East Coast Trail as you trace the edge of the North American Continent. Although, as daunting as it may be, the achievement is very rewarding. From East coast to West coast, scale Gros Morne Mountain to the summit where the views are breathtaking. No restaurant can match the ambience of picnicking at the top of 2,500 foot cliffs as you spot the moose, caribou and black bears wandering below.
